For A Hard Working Man

This is a commission I did for a family friend. He was a lineman for At&t for many years and is now retired. He asked me to do a rendered sketch of this boot with the spike and post, as you can see in the reference photo. He wanted this piece as memento to all his hard work, so I chose to go with a ball point pen sketch. I wanted this piece to look as rugged as the job. I limited myself to one medium so that I can concentrate on sketching and using as many techniques I could with just a ball point pen.

Moustaches!

This is a new illustration I created last night for first friday. I always thought that bare knuckle boxers had the greatest moustaches.

Shoes For My Sister

My sister commissioned me to create some of her own custom shoes. I kept it simple with the floral details in the front and a quote that continues from each side of the shoes.

Here is the limited edition poster I created last week for the 2nd annual relay for life Ramones tribute show.

The Most Honorable Portrait

I was very honored to create this portrait of a wonderful man that was not only a neighbor but a man I looked up to as an uncle, the late Mr. Baca. I did this rendering of this great man as a gift for his wife Mrs. Baca. My good friend/aunt burst with emotion when she unveiled my special gift I had for at  her surprise 80th birthday party yesterday. The raw honest emotion and tender words that the whole family gave me made my heart fill with so much happiness and success. I accomplished my goal for this piece and I thank the whole family and love them dearly. Mr. Baca may not be with us here today but at least I can give them a piece to remember him by and give them the ability to see him one more day.
